Our canning factory Akraborg ltd. has received MSC certification.

The inspection company Tún has confirmed that the company Akraborg ltd. in Akranes meets the requirements of Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) for the traceability of fish products originating from MSC-certified sustainable fisheries. The certification covers the manufacture of canned Cod products such as Cod liver, Cod Liver Pate, Cod Roes and Cod Milt of raw material caught in Icelandic waters.

The demand for MSC products has increased steadily in the past and come to some buyers refuse to buy unless the MSC certification is available. The certification is a major milestone for Akraborg and will be a great advantage for Triton the future.

We decided to refresh our "much-loved" brand and incorporate a new and fresh design based on the trusted foundation of our old TRITON image.
